Chartres Labyrinth at Providence Center Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, IN A creative use of indigenous materials!. In July 2002 they built an outdoor 90 foot labyrinth in the grounds of the Motherhouse of the Sisters of Providence at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods. The material is woodchips from the branches that fall around the property. The paths are edged with curved bricks. They offer workshops for labyrinth walkers who want to know more about the practice, but the labyrinth is open to the public without going through a workshop. photos provided by Brother Barry G.
